Prayer:
Gracious and loving God,
You are the source of all wisdom and light.
As we, your church, seek to follow your will,
grant us clarity of mind, humility of heart,
and openness to your Spirit’s leading.
Silence our fears, quiet our pride,
and free us from any desire for control.
Unite us in love for one another,
so that our listening may be gentle
and our speaking filled with grace.
Show us the path that leads to life and faithfulness,
that in all things we may glorify you
and serve your people with joy.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
